DeoxIT Gold is a unique conditioning solution that improves conductivity and provides long-lasting protection on gold, base metals and other precious metal contacts and connections (gold, silver, rhodium, copper, bronze, nickel, etc.). Recommended for critical applications where only slight cleaning action is necessary. DeoxIT Gold coats the entire surface, providing protection from abrasion, corrosion, arcing, RFI, and tarnishing. Use on connectors and contacts for maximum performance and protection. Temperature range: -34°C to 310°C. The GxL line of ProGold provides an extended temperature range (-45°C to 400°C), longer lasting, non-gumming/varnishing. Ideal for tube sockets! Provides light 5% coating of ProGold liquid. Precision lubricant for conductive plastic Faders & controls
(faders, slide potentiometers, conductive membranes - mouse pads and other mechanisms with sliding surfaces).

It replenishes lubrication lost on surfaces that have been cleaned with solvents or other cleaning solutions.
Use on conductive plastics and other sliding metal-plastic surfaces.
Temperature range: -26 to +150oC.


Problems occur when dust, dirt or spilt drinks accumulate in the switch. This degrades performance and displaces or wears away the original lubrication. On conductive membrane and pointing devices (mouse pads), oil, grease and acids from fingers accumulate on the surfaces and reduce their effectiveness over time. DeoxIT FaderLube displaces contamination accumulated on these surfaces and enhances the transmission characteristics of the switches and membranes. On metal surfaces use DeoxIT, DeoxIT GOLD and DeoxIT SHIELD.

DeoxIT SHIELD also reduces wear and abrasion, arcing, RFI and intermittent connections and improves connector performance/reliability. Ideal for severe environments. On oxidized surfaces, pre-treat with DeoxIT contact cleaner.

Use this remarkable contact-enhancing spray on every connector in your system (RCA plugs, binding posts, AC plugs, tube pins, fuses). It'll cost you half an hour's work, but you'll probably improve your sound by nearly as much as doubling your amplifier investment. To my ears, the effect is a reduction in smearing and background grunge across the whole frequency spectrum.

DeoxIT Gold deoxidises, cleans and then penetrates gold-plated surfaces to improve conductivity, reduce wear, reduce noise, lower distortion, and more. The data sheet suggests that treatment lasts one to ten years depending on atmospheric conditions and the quality of the connectors, but I defy even one of you to leave your systems alone for that long.
