The man behind Opalum, Pär G. Risberg was raised on both music and technology. He himself plays several musical instruments and for years has worked professionally to provide sound for concerts and recording studios.
His friends describe him as a nerd—because he totally immerses himself in whatever he is doing. At the University of Linköping in Sweden, Pär G. Risberg took two engineering majors at the same time and was actively involved in developing and testing sound.
Pär succeeded in developing a technology which renders thick power cables for loudspeakers superfluous. At the same time, he based the invention of his products on a digital platform—instead of an analogue platform—and then revolutionized the possibilities by developing a small chip capable of optimizing sound quality, even in small thin cabinets.
Opalum FLOW.4810

The unique slim and award winning design of Opalum's Flow.4810 was inspired by a sheet of paper floating down along a wall. The elegant undulating shape is not only pleasing to the eye, it minimizes vibrations and conducts the sound directly to the listener. Flow.4810 hugs the wall and is a perfect solution for large flat-panel TVs because the loudspeakers’ impressive resonant clarity matches the high resolution and clarity of the pictures.

Opalum FLOW.1010
Opalum's Flow.1010 is the smallest version in the slim Flow series inspired by the light, undulating falling of a sheet of paper along a wall. Even though Flow.1010 is a small model, its unique shape still enables it to minimize vibrations and conduct sound directly to the listener. Flow.1010 is a perfect choice for wall-mounted flat-panel TVs - in part because the speakers hang as flat against the wall as the flat-panel TV and in part because their resonant, clear sound takes the television experience into a whole new dimension.
