REL Acoustics Ltd of Bridgend, Wales was founded in 1990 by Richard Edmund Lord. Dissatisfied by the commercially available subwoofers of the day, Lord set out to build Himself something better. Almost immediately, word spread about this incredible sounding sub bass system that were built like no other.
In 2005 John Hunter and Donald Brody acquired REL. Almost immediately, they identified several key paths to take the strengths of the core REL philosophy and build upon them. First, the designs had to be updated and made to look as wonderful as they sounded. Second, for all their robust qualities, there was room for improvement in the area of electronics and driver technology. Accordingly, they set about on a comprehensive plan to upgrade and improve every aspect of the products; focusing on reliability, clean styling and robust mechanical construction, a path that continues to this day.

REL T/9x (T9x) Subwoofer
Serie T/9x: Bigger AND Better
THE SERIES FLAGSHIP
The job of any range topper for REL is to deliver more of everything, particularly output and dynamics. The 9x is no different in this regard, as it delivers the goods in both music and theatre applications. 9x, however, delivers a level of intimacy, clarity and speed that means there are no longer trade-offs between the sonic balance of smaller models weighed against the power and scale of a model 9.

REL Serie S: S/812 (S812) Subwoofer
The All New S/812
S/812 takes REL’s medium chassis concept to reference-like levels of performance and does so with style, beauty and devastating power. It delivers incredible levels of all ‘round performance for both music and film sound, gives customers a taste of what our reference models offer, and does so at a fraction of the cost.
Shattering Performance Barriers
For S/812, every aspect of the previous generation’s inner workings were examined without regard to its critical and customer-driven success. We turned a fresh eye to power requirements, driver improvements, and specialty filters, upgrading each to extract all the extra performance possible. All this alongside the cabinet refinements necessary for those upgrades to emerge cleanly. This latest S range is a triumphant development that has exceeded every expectation of our design team.

REL Serie S: S/510 (S510) Subwoofer
All New S/510
S/510 takes REL’s compact-medium chassis concept to reference-like levels of performance and does so with style, power and incredible speed. It delivers incredible levels of all ‘round performance. S/510 allows those with less space, or when pairing with high end speakers that are slightly less robust to have a perfect dance partner when the S/812 is simply too much of a great thing.

REL Bassline Blue: Hi Level Cable
Beyond optimising the geometry of the internal lay of the cable, REL also employ copper that exceeds industry practices and is of a quality and type generally specified for military specification and high speed telecommunication applications. REL BLUETM is constructed of slow-drawn, high purity copper, drawn in a nitrogen bath to minimize impurities on the surface of the wire. Each individual conductor is coated in a Teflon film immediately upon leaving the extrusion die to ensure that impurities cannot impinge on the cable while awaiting further processing. This technique produces a sound that is exceptionally pure and natural which we term Natural DrawnTM wire.

REL Stacking Rail
Live bass does not live at floor level alone. It emerges, sometimes gently, sometimes with violence, in sheets and clouds. Live bass strikes our bodies from head to foot and pressurizes in ways no single sub can effect. It is for this reason that we have made available special connectivity allowing the use of multiple units, typically stacked in towers and rails that provide stability and limit the likelihood of scratching the finish on lower course Gibraltar in a tower. For the finest systems, the appropriate stack of G-1 or G-2 is the memorable and deserving final touch that transports the listener on a journey they will never forget.

REL T/5x (T5x) Subwoofer
No model in REL’s long history has sold more units nor engendered more affection than the T/5. Here reimagined in a modern, elegant, new form factor, T/5x’s mission remains the same: make remarkable bass far beyond its modest size, do so in a way that complements every interior’s style, and eliminate all visual distraction. Mission Accomplished.
Designed for Elegance | STUNNINGLY SIMPLE
Perfect for small and medium rooms, T/5x seats perfectly into any décor. Floor-firing

REL Serie T/i: Arrow Transmitter
Arrow Wireless
Following on the heels of the acclaimed LongBow™ Wireless, Arrow delivers much of the promise and connectivity of hardwired RELs with the placement flexibility and pure cool factor of great wireless.
Compatible only with Serie T/i
ArrowTM is REL's latest zero compression method of distributing wireless and delivers performance similar to our more expensive wireless systems quickly, reliably and without the thin, dried out sound most wireless systems deliver. In part, this is achieved by eliminating the often very slow delivery methods offered by off-the-shelf Bluetooth and wi-fi based systems. Arrow represents something of a cost breakthrough as it uses LSI (large scale integrated circuit chips) technology to lower the cost of our system by about 30% while preserving almost all the performance.

REL Reference: G1 MKII Subwoofer
G1 Mark II
Reference Series
G1 MKII represents a study in contrast. Familiar, yet different—visibly unchanged, better in every way than the original G1, REL's best-selling reference sub.
Retained is the classic curvilinear cabinet, with its shape carefully engineered to cancel standing waves as they travel rearward through the cabinet. The laminated hardwood bracing reminiscent of musical instruments still finds a home—though re-configured for even greater rigidity. The amplifier is the powerful, yet highly controlled and ultra-reliable 600w Class A/B with new limiters that allow almost 40% more power being delivered without compression.

REL Reference: No. 25 Subwoofer
No. 25
Reference Series
No. 25 commemorates and celebrates REL Acoustics' quarter century of building the finest sub bass systems, while pointing to the future and their next 25 years as it employs their most advanced design, engineering and craftsmanship.
No. 25 combines the power of an ultra-reliable 1,000 watt amplifier, with a lightweight and perfectly balanced carbon fibre 15” driver. All this is controlled by their legendary filter sets and proprietary crossovers with 2 separate parametric equalizers permitting remarkably flat in-room response, while maintaining the speed and resolution for which modern RELs have become known.
