The Chord ChameleonPlus is an updated and improved version of a much-loved classic

As the seasons move, in one month, from Spring to Summer to Spring to Winter and back to Summer, Chord has launched the new ChameleonPlus interconnect. Like the Summer sky the ChameleonPlus is brilliant blue.

ChameleonPlus contains four identical sets of silver-plated, multi-stranded, oxygen-free copper conductors. Each set of conductors is insulated with Teflon. The four sets of conductors are surrounded, damped and held with a natural fibre wrap that minimises mechanically induced noise and ensures that the conductors are held precisely in position.

PERFORMANCE SUB-WOOFER CABLE
Active sub-woofers, like any hi-fi or home theatre components, require the best possible signal quality to enable them to work at their optimum. Whilst conventional analogue interconnects are fine for use between audio-visual components, sub-woofers are an altogether different proposition, as they have a single specialised function - that of accurately reproducing the low frequency content of music and movies. The Signature Plus is fitted with Chord’s unique acrylic plug casings, first used on the company’s Indigo cable. As well as the acrylic plug casing the Signature Plus has also been fitted with the secondary signal return conductor used on the Indigo Plus. Linn Black interconnect cable is Linn's standard cable for connecting components in a Linn system.

This cable is derived from the low capacitance polystyrene dielectric cable used originally to carry the signal from a turntable and cartridge to a pre-amplifier. This ‘phono’ signal is probably the most demanding of all signals in any audio system, usually less than one thousandth of the signal between a CD player and an amplifier. A cable good enough to handle this signal will accurately transfer any other low level audio signals in an audio or AV system.
