The power amplifier is the final component in the signal chain before the loudspeakers. It is the workhorse of a hi-fi system. It takes the low-level signal from the pre-amplifier and converts it to a powerful signal to drive the loudspeakers. It has a low-level input to receive the signal from the preamplifier, and terminals for connecting loudspeaker cables.
Because of the power amplifier's unique function, it differs from other components in size, weight and use. High-quality power amplifiers are usually large and heavy. Moreover, the power amplifier is the component you don't need to touch and adjust. Consequently, power amplifiers are often placed on the floor near the loudspeakers rather than in an equipment rack.

Naim NAP 200 DR
During the years of research that went into the NAP 500 amplifier, many technical developments were made that could be successfully applied to the existing products. Many of these developments, along with the elegant new styling have been incorporated, resulting in the 'Classic' line-up.
Like the flagship NAP 500, the NAP 200 uses a new circuit design with improved earthing arrangements built on a very high quality, anti-resonance main audio circuit board.

EAR 861 Power Amplifier
The new EAR 861 power amplifier Tim de Paravicini wants to prove the ETM circuit is capable of even greater things! The starting point of the design was the ‘859, and with some justification, the ‘861 could be regarded as a push - pull version on the ‘859, however, this is more than a slight understatement: Each output transformer has a massive 5 kilogram weight, with no feedback applied over it. The circuit is balanced push - pull from input to output, allowing balanced (professional) style inputs as well as conventional RCA phono jack socket. Similar to the ‘859, the circuit is direct coupled. Tube choice is not critical; perfect operation does not rely on matched tubes, or user adjustable bias.

EAR 534 Power Amplifier
The EAR534 has been designed to meet a wide variety of needs, from the most demanding of audiophiles to the professional seeking high quality monitoring equipment in the studio field. The circuit design uses push-pull output and driver stages, a hight quality in-house designed output transformer and low negative feedback. It is capable of operationg in bridged-mono mode, to make a true mono block amplifier. Tube life is long (and replacement costs are modest) and the circuit operates in pre Class A.
