Radiohead - The Bends LP

Radiohead The Bends on 180g LP
XL Recordings Proudly Presents the Radiohead Album Catalog on Vinyl in 2016!
Known for their explorative and restless sound, taking influence from old style rock like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young and Pink Floyd as well as from electronica and hip hop, each of Radiohead's albums marks a cornerstone in their musical evolution. While Radiohead surely saw its stock rising after their 1993 debut Pablo Honey, it wasn't until their artisic breakthrough, The Bends that the band really began to be fully realized for their soaring aspirations. Displaying a far more expansive approach than its predecessor, The Bends marries such ambitious and often challenging, instrumental soundscapes to songs that are at their cores hauntingly melodic and accessible. It's one of the most essential albums of the '90s and a spectacular indicator of further greatness to come.

Killers - Hot Fuss LP
The Killers' breakout 2004 debut Hot Fuss features eleven nuggets of reel-you-in storytelling genius and musical nectar. These tracks span from the very Vegas "Somebody Told Me" to "Mr Brightside," a tale of suspected infidelity. You'll also find two-thirds of a murder trilogy in "Midnight Show," and "Jenny." It's a wonderfully ambitious series that belies the band's tender years. Elsewhere, "On Top" celebrates where the always confident Brandon Flowers felt the band was at the time, while stalker's tale "Andy You're A Star" and "All These Things That I've Done," found the frontman realizing his dream of incorporating a gospel choir.

WARNER BROS. RECORDS
Red Hot Chili Peppers Californication
(180g Vinyl 2LP)
The Red Hot Chili Peppers' 1999 album Californication was one of the most anticipated in the 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees' career and it saw the group reuniting with both producer Rick Rubin and guitarist John Frusciante, neither of which had been in the fold since their 1991 masterpiece Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik. The first product of this reunion and revitalization is a highly creative affair which is one of the most melodic, philosophical and song-oriented albums in their vast catalog.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik LP
2 LPs
Blood Sugar Sex Magik is the fifth studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on September 24, 1991. Produced by Rick Rubin, it was the band's first record released on Warner Bros. Records. The musical styles of Blood Sugar Sex Magik differed notably from the techniques employed on the Chili Peppers' preceding album, Mother's Milk, and featured little use of heavy metal guitar riffs. The album's subject matter incorporated sexual innuendos and references to drugs and death as well as themes of lust and exuberance.

Massive Attack - Protection LP
180g Vinyl - Virgin Records
Three years after changing the musical landscape with the stoned and soulful majesty of "Blue Lines", Massive Attack returned to the airwaves and turntables with the afterhours cool of "Protection". A natural successor to their stratospheric debut (even down to the sleeve design), "Protection" finds the group in confident mode, continuing to fuse hip hop, reggae and soul, but adding elements of R & B and chilled out electronica. The LP opens in emotive fashion with Tracey Thorn collaboration "Protection", before the thumping bass and relaxed rhymes of "Karmacoma" begin to test your speakers. The infectious, undulating groove of "Weather Storm" is one of the finest sample flips ever, while the menacing piano and robust breakbeats of "Heat Miser" rival the introspective quality of anything on DJ Shadow's "Endtroducing". Peppered with irresistible melodies and irrepressible rhythms throughout, all the while maintaining a subtle melancholy, "Protection" is the perfect soundtrack to those lonely moments very late in the night.

Massive Attack - NO Protection LP
180g Vinyl Reissue - Virgin Records
Always in tune with soundsystem culture, Massive Attack followed their 1994 "Protection" LP with this brainmulching dub version, produced by the one and only Mad Professor. The project started when the group contacted Mad Professor to deliver a B-side remix for a forthcoming single. After the track was remixed, the band asked Mad Professor to listen to more of the album to explore the possibility of further remixes, the project soon becoming a track by track remix of almost the entire album. Mad Professor heavily edited the original material to form a slow, pulsating mix in which the beat is emphasized, reverb is extensively used and the occasional vocals (many of the tracks are almost entirely instrumental) fade in-and-out in typical dub fashion to create a hypnotic mix. "No Protection" was the most hyped album during dub music's revival in the mid 1990s, bewitching fans with its deep textures.

Madonna - Like a Virgin LP
Sire Record Label - (180g Vinyl LP)
Madonna is one of the most recognizable names in the world – and not just the world of music. She became the first multimedia pop icon, crossing from dance-oriented pop music into movies, television, videos, fashion and books while achieving a level of celebrity comparable to that of a primary inspiration, Marilyn Monroe.
Madonna has been a ubiquitous and, at times, controversial figure since erupting on the scene in the early-80s. No one in the pop realm has manipulated the media with such a savvy sense of self-promotion. Yet Madonna's career has always had a solid musical footing, and her life – however outrageous and calculated at certain points – has proceeded on an unfolding path of self-discovery and open-hearted revelation.
