Unison Research was founded in 1987 by a group of passionate audiophiles led by Giovanni Maria Sacchetti. Born in 1945, Giovanni Maria Sacchetti devoted himself at an early age to the study and design of hi-fi systems, combining his interest in electronics with a passion for music inherited from his father, an expert pianist.
After completing his studies in electronics, he devoted twenty-five years to teaching while at the same time designing and developing amplifiers for Unison Research.

Unison Research's Unico 90 sits at the top end of the Unico range borrowing a lot of its look and design from the flagship Unico 150 integrated amplifier.
The Unico 90’s dual mono design gives this amplifier more power and control of your music. Boasting 160W (4Ω) per channel the Unico 90 is capable of driving some of the most demanding loudspeakers with ease and aplomb.
On the back of the Unico 90 flexibility is available in spades with a selection of inputs including two balanced XLR as well as standard RCA. There is also 4 + 4 speaker terminals allowing for bi-wiring, and a subwoofer output to add even more depth and enthralment.

Unison Research Unico Nuovo (Phono) Integrated Amplifier

Unico Nuovo Phono
The Unico Nuovo, like the Unico Primo and previously the UnicoP, is an integrated amplifier that is based on a 'single triode stage per-channel' design. Where it carves it's own new territory is through using 2 x ECC83 (12AX7) valves with a new biasing solution and a parallel double-triode design. By doubling the number of triodes (compared to the Unico Primo) and employing a parallel configuration, the Unico Nuovo is capable of a more refined sonic performance than those that have come before.

The Unico Primo is a hybrid stereo integrated amplifier capable of comfortably delivering 85W RMS continuous power to an 8Ω load. Even though this is the entry level in the Unico line, it possesses many of the outstanding sonic qualities of Unison Research's more high-end amplifier models. By making this a hybrid design, where a power amplifier is combined with an ECC83 triode, you get the best of both worlds with the Unico Primo. It's an amplifier that's powerful enough to drive most loudspeakers, and a sound quality and performance that can only be achieved with advanced valve designs.

Unison Research Triode 25 Integrated Amplifier

Triode 25
The Triode 25 was born out of the huge success of the long-standing Triode 20 amplifier, and released as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of Unison Research's formation. It's been developed over an extended period to ensure it is a worthy successor to the Triode 20's name.
Like its predecessor, the Triode 25 is a push-pull amplifier that utilizes EL34 tubes in the output stage. The push-pull circuit includes a final stage with two power tubes intended for the amplification of the audio signal, and is then followed by a symmetrical output transformer stage that reconstructs the signal into a high-quality linear wave.
