Thanks to its magnesium housing and carbon-fibre headband, the LCD-MX4 is 30% lighter than other Audeze LCD designs. Add in its new memory-foam earpads and you have an extremely comfortable pair of headphones - ideal for long listening and mastering sessions.
In terms of its internal specifications, Audeze describes the LCD-MX4 as the ‘love child’ of its acclaimed LCD-X and LCD-4 headphones. It has the easy-to-drive diaphragm and voice coil of the LCD-X combined with the 1.5 Tesla magnetic force of the LCD-4. For producers and engineers, it has a more studio-style soundstage than the LCD-X, plus the sensitivity to be easily driven by any mixing console or audio interface - even a laptop.
Powered by Audeze’s patented Fluxor magnets, the LCD-MX4 focuses 1.5 Tesla of magnetic flux on the lightweight 20 ohm impedance diaphragm. It is perfect for use where one isn’t likely to have a dedicated high-powered headphone amp and can be driven easily by a laptop or studio equipment.
