Graham Slee Revelation M Switched Equalization Phono Stage
Phono Stage For 78's, Pre & Post RIAA Vinyl Records
The Revelation phono-stage preamp provides the correct EQ for virtually every gramophone record ever made.

It has 7 equalisation networks which combine using three 3-way front panel switches to equalize 15 different recording curves - 12 of them equalize known record label recording curves including the modern-day RIAA - 3 are for experimentation.

The Revelation phono stage preamp is based on our highly successful Era Gold Reflex phono stage preamp.
The Era Gold Reflex was positively reviewed by Michael Fremer in September 2007's Stereophile magazine and was awarded recommended system component in the October edition, listed as a "class A" component along with the much coveted triple dollar value-for-money sign.
Re-mastering 78's and Vinyl to CD
Like the earlier Jazz Club phono-stage preamp, it is trusted by re-mastering services large and small to take the hard work out of re-mastering 78's and pre RIAA vinyl records - giving far better results than their previously used conventional and complicated equipment line-up.

It too is also owned by many private enthusiasts who find it invaluable in archiving records of all era's and genres onto CD with minimal fuss, or simply enjoying listening to older records restored to their correct tonal balance.

The wideband phono stage preamp technology it uses is unique to Graham Slee, and it not only makes old records sound more realistic with its openness and "airy" transparency, it often removes the need to de click because our wideband technology doesn't emphasize record damage noise like most phono stages do.

Design Features
The Revelation uses many similarly selected components from branded specialist high-quality audio component manufacturers as the Jazz Club. These are not "boutique" or "designer" components but components selected on real technical merit, and the difference they make, on listening, is obvious.

It differs from the Jazz Club phono stage in its internal grounding method as well as its equalisation network impedances. The grounding method has been optimized further to extract even more of the subtle detail, which takes the listening experience another step closer to reality, whatever the music's genre. The EQ network impedances have been lifted to further exploit the ultra-high slew rate of its amplifier stage. These improvements make the Revelation phono stage and the Reflex on which it's based the ultimate in live sounding phono stages, as attested by Michael Fremer comparing live and reproduced music performances.

Like all our wideband designs, best performance is obtained by the unit being powered continuously, and a period of "burn-in" (approximately 3 weeks) should be observed for its components to fully form and stabilize. To ensure proper continuous correct operation, the Revelation phono stage is supplied with our IEC approved PSU1 in-line power supply unit. Voltages and cord-sets are country specific and are included with the PSU1

The cartridge sensitivity and gain is fixed for Moving Magnet or High Output Moving Coil pick-up cartridges and the input impedance is 47k Ohms. For use with low output Moving Coil pick-ups, the Elevator EXP head amplifier should be used ahead of the Revelation. These stages are designed to work together to give an unsurpassed moving coil performance for their price-bands and far beyond.

A mono switch is included on the rear panel to conveniently use a stereo pick-up for mono work. For exacting mono work a mono pick-up should be used in stereo mode and the unused input shorted. It is not advisable to convert stereo recordings to mono using a mono switch as the summing function puts emphasis on centre channel signals.
