Naim CD5si CD Player

The CD5si replaces the CD5i as Naim’s entry level CD player. It is a result of Naim’s continued development work into digital audio and CD playback, applying high-end audio technology to deliver even greater sound quality at its price point. Ideally paired with the NAIT 5i integrated amplifier, the CD5si is part of an attractive and accessible two-box solution that can deliver superb sound quality from your CDs.

Features:
1. New and improved DAC section – including Burr Brown PCM1793 DAC chip (similar to that used in the SuperUniti and NDX except it’s hardware controlled because it doesn’t need to adjust for different sample rates). The filter stage and clock have also been improved. The result is dramatically lower outer band noise than the CD5i for greater sound quality.
2. New high-performance CD mechanism – with new and improved laser-optics and silent door operation.
3. New analogue filter stages – specially selected through listening tests for their beneficial effect on sound quality.
4. Internal PSU voltage increased - for improved linearity of the output signal and subsequently greater sound quality.
