EZ-Pad Speaker Relay. Enables Independent Muting Within Shared Zone

The EPR-1.0 is a data-driven speaker relay specifically designed for use with the MZC-66 / 88 and EZ-Pad keypad systems. Each EPR-1.0 permits an MKP1.1 or MKP6.1 to provide local speaker level muting.

Such an arrangement enables a simple and economical means of expanding the number of rooms covered by a system without the immediate need for adding in a second MZC controller.

A suitable application would be the inclusion of both a bedroom and en-suite within an MZC-66 multi-room system. Both rooms could be totally separate zones, but given they are adjacent to each other zone splitting is a practical choice with the EPR-1.0. This solution also has the advantage of extending the number of rooms that can be covered by a single system.

Each ‘zone split’ room will share source selection and overall volume levels, but will be given independent speaker muting.

One EPR-1.0 and MKP-1.1 keypad is required for each ‘zone split’ room.
